Mauricio’s journey began in business and finance, where he obtained his degrees and honed his skills. Driven by a newfound passion for hospitality management, he pursued formal education in the field. With several years of industry experience, Mauricio moved to New York to further his studies, earning a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University with a concentration in Hospitality Finance and Food and Beverage Administration.

Building on his 20 years of experience managing various companies in the hospitality industry, Mauricio has demonstrated his expertise and leadership. He served as the Dean of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), where he made significant contributions to the academic community.

Currently, Mauricio holds the position of General Administrative Director at USFQ, overseeing the financial, IT, operations, and human resources departments. His experience and dedication to the field continue to drive his success and significantly impact higher education industry.
