Diversity & Inclusion

USFQ, being the first liberal arts university in the region, promotes diversity and inclusion, creating equitable opportunity environments and guaranteeing the development of student potential across the university. Hence, everyone experiences a safe and inclusive campus where they develop creativity, a sense of belonging, and individual freedom.

USFQ stands above all universities in Ecuador, both private and public, as being the first one to have a program designed to include Indigenous and other ethnic minorities. The program now holds close to 10% of the undergraduate student body. Scholarships are given from USFQ funds, which limits the number of students we can admit. Since USFQ is a private university, our income is tuition driven. All other expenses not related to tuition must be met by the student or their family. In order to help students participate in exchange programs, field trips, or other academic activities, we must seek outside help.
