Who we are!
GAIAS Foundation is a non-profit, based in the United States of America. Our purpose is to raise awareness, gather support and raise funds for research, inclusion, education, and cultural activities in Ecuador, with a special emphasis on the Galapagos Islands and Amazon Basin. GAIAS seeks to provide an unparalleled opportunity to support purpose-driven projects that will construct and ensure a better future for Ecuadorian communities. GAIAS works together with Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) to carry out our joint projects. Also, we seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations in the United States with a shared sense of purpose.
How we work?
GAIAS is recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and donations to GAIAS are tax deductible.
GAIAS is governed by a board of directors who oversee the operations of the foundation. Board members work diligently to ensure that foundation funds are raised and utilized in a responsible manner that furthers the aims of GAIAS.
Purpose
The purpose of GAIAS is to raise awareness, gather support, and raise funds for research, inclusion of Ecuadorian communities, education, conservation, local knowledge transfer, and cultural activities in Ecuador.

Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ is a liberal arts, private non-profit university located in Quito, Ecuador. It is the first totally private self-financed university in Ecuador and the only liberal arts institution In South America.
